Yohandry Lago Murillo, born 1 August, 1992. Marianao Havana, Cuba. As a kid I was always inspired by Art. When I was 6years old my uncle sat beside me and said, how about you draw something, anything … and guess what I grabbed the pencil, the piece of paper and my first Art was a frog. I still remember how it looks and the colour I gave to it. Ever since then Art was born in me and I got into it even more. I took Art Classes with Leo Lagos. What a coincidence learning from someones with the same last name like mine. I knew I was on the right track. Time went by and I took more classes with another professor just a few blocks away from my house. At the age of 14 I left Cuba and came to Canada for a better future. 2010 On my graduation day from high school I was granted with an Art Award as the best Art Student of the year. It was an honour for me to receive such a blessing. 2017 I’m currently attending Seneca College for the program Interactive Media Design (INM) giving my best to bring and show a better version of me. May God keeps on guiding my steps.
